Merry Christmas!

Dear Family and Friends,

I have to say I am feeling a little guilt over not sending a Christmas card this year! We received so many great ones too. So this is my Christmas greeting to you all!

We had a great 2009 in January I was back to teaching and quickly got into the routine of being a working mom. It was hard but knowing that Sophie is with Robert when I’m not with her makes it a little easier. Those two are like two peas in a pod. She is such a daddy’s girl and they crack each other up which is cute to watch. It has been a challenge to work opposite schedules a few days a week but we are making it!

We were able to travel a bit last year which I love! We went to Sandpoint in February to see Robert’s grandma and mom as well as the rest of our family and friend there. In March we took Sophie to Disneyland for the first time which was very fun! She loved it except for Pirates of the Caribbean which she screamed her way through. Rookie mistake, sorry Sophie! We kept to calmer rides like Pooh and It’s a small world after that! In July we were able to get to Colorado for a week to see Robert’s family. It was very nice to get to spend some time with everyone. We have also done some smaller trip to Auburn, Canada and the Great Wolf Lodge. Sophie is getting to be a traveler which is what our goal is!

Speaking of Sophie she is of course the center of our world these days(although we do try to get in some dates every once in awhile!) She is to quickly changing from a baby to a toddler. It is very amazing and a little sad to watch. Her newest thing is starting to talk. The words of the week have been Matt, Gunny, kitty and of course Daddy only she says it DA-DEE and very loudly! She also can say mama, dada, more, done, and Larry(which is her favorite book). She is still only walking on her knees but it is hilarious to watch so we are ok with that .
